Resisting the urge to borrow inspiration from the Bulwer-Lytton contest and describe the dark and not-so-stormy day, I'll just say that this is just a weather wane that I saw on one of my runs on a dark and ....
These are from today's San Jose Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon.
There were tons (no pun intended) of airplanes taking off from the nearby airport, but none close enough to the lamp in the picture to get a good shot. Finally, the aviation gods decided to have mercy on me - after waiting for about an hour, a jet showed up, far away, but close enough to the lamp, for the picture.
While on a hike in a woody area a couple of months ago, I came across this little pond of absolutely still water. The reflection of the leaves in the water was surreal to the point where you couldn't really make out where reality ended and reflection began. Reminiscent of an M. C. Escher creation.
